ABOUT US
| Established in 1984 and under current ownership since 1987, Seattle Boat Company has become a premier marine dealership situated in the heart of the world’s finest and most spectacular boating waterways. Our business is comprised of principally three departments including New Sportboat, Yacht and Pre-Owned Boat Sales, Parts and Service, and Marina Operations. Our facilities, uniquely positioned to serve both fresh and salt water boaters, are designed for efficiency but are finished with a touch of class. We are proud to be the Northwest’s exclusive dealer for the finest luxury runabouts, cruisers and yachts from Cobalt and Sunseeker. We began working with each of these companies at different times and for different reasons, yet they share strong qualities that makes working with them and their products a truly gratifying experience for us and our customers. Sunseeker and Cobalt are both privately owned companies and have remained under the same ownership since their inception, which by coincidence, was in 1969. Private ownership is an important attribute as it promotes a pride in craftsmanship and is one reason for the achievement of both companies to be regarded as the world’s finest crafts in their respective categories. There comes with every Cobalt or Sunseeker an enjoyment and pride of ownership, in having the very best, unlike any other. Our newest acquistion, Seattle Boat Newport (formerly Mercer Marine) is situated along the southeastern shoreline of Lake Washington adjacent to exceptional waterfront residence communities and serves the most popular fresh water boating destination in the state. For the past thirty years, this facility has provided mechanical and fiberglass repair and haul-out services to the Eastside communities. Quality repairs and specialized services have been the hallmark of this organization which continues today. |

 | Seattle Boat Company has been named Number 3 Boat Dealer in North America by Boating Industry Magazine. The Top 100 ranking recognizes the crème de la crème of marine dealers that are unsurpassed in overall business operations, customer service, marketing and professionalism. It is one of the most coveted awards in the marine industry. Boating Industry’s editorial staff reviewed almost 400 applications, culled from more than 3,000 nominations. The applications asked both quantitative and qualitative questions regarding all aspects of marine dealer operations. Dealers were rated on not only performance but also quality initiatives such as continuous process improvements, marine industry and personnel certifications, on-off water training for customers, customer service initiatives and dealer dress code. Seattle Boat Company was the only west coast boat dealer in the top 15. Only one other Washington dealer made the Top 100. We also received the Best in Class award in the category of dealers with five or six stores. |
| Seattle Boat Company is one of the country's Marine Industry Certified Dealerships. This program provides dealers with a set of criteria designed to create continuous improvement across all departments and, in turn, develop processes for meeting and exceeding customer expectations. The criteria and business best practices address the quality of dealer sales, service, parts, follow-up, facilities, as well as employee and customer satisfaction. Criteria compliance must be verified by an independent program consultant, and dealers are reevaluated every year to ensure they continue to meet the Certification requirements.
